Revenue Shares
Contributors, proposed recording-income shares, private invitations and agreement review in Artanrecords Studio.
A credit is not a share
Contributors describe who took part in the work. Contributions record their roles. Public release credits remain in Releases. A credit does not create a financial entitlement, and a revenue-share proposal does not publish a credit.
Start with the work
In Studio, open Business → Revenue Shares and select your project or release. Add a contributor by professional name, invitation email and role. Choose a standard role or describe a custom role. Workflow administration is not proof of master ownership or authority to bind another person.
Understand the Project Artist Pool
Proposed collaborator percentages apply to the artist's eligible recording receipts after the label share and deductions defined in the signed agreement, not automatically to gross revenue. The agreement's version and effective dates govern; a mutable tier name never determines an account entitlement. Unallocated percentages remain in the artist pool. Publishing rights, master ownership, company equity, commerce income and subscription income are excluded from this proposal workflow.
Choose scope and effective dates
A proposal may cover a project, a release or selected stable track IDs within a release. Project and release workspaces are separate until their relationship is explicitly established; they are not silently combined. For the same contributor and overlapping dates, a track-specific proposal takes precedence over a broader proposal. Equal-specificity overlap is rejected, and different contributors' applicable percentages may not exceed 100%. These are proposal checks, not a revenue ledger or payment calculation.
Review before inviting
Confirm that you are authorized to propose the terms. Preparing an invitation does not prove delivery. Where delivery is not connected, Studio identifies it as pending rather than claiming the person received an email. A recipient may access delivered terms using the exact verified email on their account, without purchasing Studio Pro. Private account search and other contributors' percentages are not available to recipients.
Acceptance and execution are separate
A participant may accept, decline or request changes to a delivered proposal. Acceptance records the response and waits for agreement execution; it does not sign a contract, activate a share or move money. Binding execution requires legally reviewed terms, approved signing and retained evidence. Studio's internal signing demonstration is non-binding.
Keep a version history
Changing draft terms or responding to a change request creates a new immutable version. Previous percentages, dates and terms digests remain recorded. Superseded unsent invitations are cancelled; an unsent amendment is not exposed to the participant. An open unexecuted proposal may be archived without deleting its history.
Financial services are separate
This private foundation does not import distributor statements, calculate payable balances, allocate reconciled earnings, withhold tax or route payments. There is no automatic DistroKid bridge, payout activation or withdrawal permission. Statements, bank onboarding and payments require their own verified accounting and provider processes.
