Names, credits and identifiers
Keep the release record clear and consistent.
Artist and release names
Use the confirmed public artist name consistently. Keep legal identity separate from public credits unless its publication is intended. Confirm the release title, version and track order.
Credit the work
Provide the contributors and their roles: composition, lyrics, performance, production, mixing, mastering and artwork where applicable. Do not infer credits from an artist name.
Existing identifiers
Preserve existing ISRC and UPC identifiers when supplied. Do not invent identifiers or assume a reissue needs new ones; confirm the recording history and distributor requirements.
